Increase life Span- Surprising and little known hacks

I found this poster on Pinterest the other day I'd like to share. Some of these are obvious but some suprised me and I'm a complete health nut. I checked out some of these and it turns out they are all right with scientific/clinical studies to back them.

The most suprising to me however was not being married. I would think it would have the opposite effect due to all the stress. I guess it depends on the partner you have(mental note to self:get new GF ASAP!)

1.Thinking Negative thoughts reduces your life by 9 years
2.Smoking cigarettes by 14 years
3.Not flossing your teeth by 6.4 years
4.Being a policeman by 8 years
5.NOT drinking alcohol will reduce your life by 5.6 years
6.Being a male by 10 years(not really true anymore, male life expectancy is now tied with women)
7.Not having sex by 8 years
8.Not getting married by 5 years
9.Sitting more than 6 hours a day by 6 years
10.Not owning a pet by 2 years

If you notice Numbers 1,4,8 and 10 deal mainly with stress reduction possibly even Number 7. Just goes to show you the importance of a good consistent stress reduction strategy in your life.
